Picking out Norton. Just a matter of which one would be honored with that name. Nikki brought me to her moms house to look at the Ruby's. Two to choose from. This little guy won out. . Probably 3 weeks at this time. A little chunky monkey. It was hard to resist that feeling of wanting to take him home at that very moment. Seeing all the other animals they had took my mind off it.
The name was picked out about two years prior. As I had mentioned early on in our site I had a habit of pairing my names to go with one another. Fred n Ginger and now Trixy n Norton. I did learn though after reviewing the Honeymooners that Norton was indeed their last name so it probably should have been Ed but Jackie always hollered "Norton" and that's what stuck in my mind and the name actually for some reason suits him. (Our pup) that is.
This time around the pack took some time welcoming him into the group. Ginger came around first then the others followed suit. Trixy being hormonal and all isn't thinking at this time he's all that and a bag of chips, but that's to be expected I think. She will kiss him every now and again.
"I Love you Little Buddy"
Fred plays with him the most and has kind of taken him under his wing. I guess it would only make sense as Norton needs to learn how to be a male dog and who better to show him the ropes than Fred? Norton is now 14 weeks and for the most part Fred has done well with him now if Norton would only learn to lift his Leg, he would be completely classified "a Real Boy"
A Perfect Addition To Our Family
16 years after my initial introduction to the King Charles Cavalier, I have not only reached my goal of obtaining one but have far exceeded my expectations and have not only the four different varieties but my heart has been filled with love like I have never known. It does not stop here. My heart will continue to grow with these beauties. My days of amusement and fun and companionship will turn each and every day spent with them into precious memories.
I look forward to the Very First Litter Due 7 days from Today. We will record with images and paper trails the birth of each new member into our world.
This site is about the Story of Us, but for your information I will add a page for links that will give you access to Educational materials should you decide that you would love to enrich your own lives with the Blessings of your very own King Charles Cavalier/s.
